Application Requirements and Application Process
The pre-doctoral internship program considers applicants from APA-accredited clinical, counseling, and school psychology programs. Applicants must have completed three years of doctoral study and two years of practicum experience. Applicants are expected to have completed all requirements for their doctoral degree, other than dissertation, including competency examinations by the starting date of internship. Applicants are expected to have taken required courses in psychological assessment and psychotherapy and completed supervised clinical experience with children and adolescents.
Application to the program is through the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC). The due date for receipt of completed application materials is November 15th. A completed application must include the following:
All applicants are notified by email regarding their interview status. Those applicants invited for an on-site interview will be scheduled to meet with the Psychology Internship Program Director. This interview will be followed by an interview with a clinic director and one or two clinical supervisors on the same day or the following day at the proposed site. A meeting with a current intern may also be arranged at that time.
