Internship Training Program
Expectations and Evaluations
As representatives of ICFH, psychology interns are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner at all times, including appropriate interactions with clients, staff, and colleagues; accurately maintaining necessary administrative and clinical documents in a timely manner; and attendance at all training and supervisory activities.
During initial supervisory sessions, interns and supervisors will determine which clinical activities are most suited for the individual intern’s needs. It is the joint responsibility of the intern and clinical supervisor to see to it that the intern’s caseload is satisfactorily maintained.
Interns are evaluated on a trimester bases by their individual supervisors. The evaluation form used reflects the intern’s progress in a variety of training areas, specifically focused on an evaluation the intern’s strengths and weaknesses. This evaluation will be thoroughly reviewed with the intern and the Psychology Internship Program Director. If there is a major area of concern following an evaluation, the supervisor, intern, and Psychology Internship Program Director will determine a plan of action designed to allow the intern to satisfactorily rectify significant weaknesses.
