
Internship Training Program
Program Overview
The Internship Training Program at the Institute for Child and Family Health, Inc. (ICFH), a non-profit community mental health center, has been accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) since 1991. The ICFH serves a broad client population from diverse cultural backgrounds presenting with a variety of behavioral, emotional, and health difficulties. The internship program provides experience in individual, group, and family therapy; psychological assessment; and consultation with parents, teachers, and a variety of mental health professionals. Interns receive both individual and group supervision on a weekly basis. Didactic activities include weekly case conferences and seminars covering a range of topics including theory, assessment, intervention, and professional practice issues.
