Parenting Skills Training / Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention

Parenting Skills Training classes are provided to all parents in the community. Classes are offered throughout Miami-Dade County at sites such as ICFH centers, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Detention Centers, Libraries, and ICFH client homes. General classes are offered to parents of elementary and middle school-age children. Specialty classes are offered to court-ordered parents who are divorcing and to parents of children who have been diagnosed with ADHD. Case management follow-up is provided. In addition, under the PACE program, as described below, parenting classes & parent - child interaction groups are offered for parents of young children ages 0-6. as well as, parenting classes to teanage parents and and at-risk teens.
