Program Overview

Our health and wellness programs provide high quality health care to children, adolescents, and at-risk mothers who do not have ready access to health care as a result of poverty or lack of insurance coverage. Our programs include pediatric medical care, school nursing services, early prevention programs for at-risk infants and toddlers, and prevention/support services for high risk pregnant women and at-risk new mothers. Our health care services are often an important life line for the neediest families of our community and are designed to eliminate or prevent serious medical conditions and poor health and social outcomes. These services are a critical part of our community's medical safety net since Miami-Dade County has one of the highest child poverty rates, and largest number of uninsured families with young children in the United States.
