Program Overview

The In-Service Training Program at the Institute for Child and Family Health
offers a number of activities developed to meet two goals: to maintain our agency’s high standards and to provide clinicians with free, high quality continuing education.   This provides a number of benefits to our employees, our clients, and our community.

Our clinicians have opportunities to enhance their practice, meet their licensing boards’ continuing education requirements, and develop the expertise to obtain specialized credentials in areas like play therapy and infant mental health. In addition, by improving and enhancing their clinical knowledge and skills, we are also improving the quality of the services they provide to our clients.

Many of our continuing education sessions are open to mental health professionals in our community.  We charge a low fee for some of our presentations, while others are offered for free, due to grants or other funding sources.
