Program Description:
The Substance Abuse Prevention Program utilizes the evidenced-based model Botvin’s LifeSkills Training (LST) to provide classroom-based services. LifeSkills is a multi-component substance abuse prevention curriculum addressing social, psychological, cognitive, and attitudinal factors associated with the use of various legal and illegal substances.
Our program’s service philosophy is to enhance in children and adolescents the development of basic life skills, personal competence, social and emotional learning, and skills related to resistance to social influences that promote substance use.
